DH:"can you see youtube page on your pc?"
Me:"let me check....yap I can!"
DH:"Can you try any video?"
Me:"Which one?
DH:"Just any..try any bollywood song"
Me:"Which bollywood song?"
DH:"oh just try something will you?
Me thinking let's try lata's song, I haven't heard lately any 80's songs so I tried Bollywood movie CHANDNI's song......
I think one of the best song sung by Lata and acted by Sridevi and Rishi...very very romantic dream song shot in switzerland....and all those pastle coloured sari's..wow it reminded me my teeenage days!!!! In late 80's mostly every movie actresses were wearing this yellow sari's and I started my dream to wear this yellow sari too....as soon as I got married I bought yellow colour sari very very similar which the actress is wearing in this Video....Been to switzerland 2-3 times,(switzerland is my faviourte holiday place)but, never wore that yellow sari on those beautiful snow mountains!!(Too risky....;0)), also this yellow sari reminded me that I have Beta Carotene soup recipe, sitting on my doc.....which I want to share with you all....I know in some of the countries you won't think about having soup now, but in U.K we are still waiting for temprature to go over at least 15 degree...........
You will need:-
- 2 cup butternut squash( deseeded and cubed)
- 2 cup sweet potatoes(peeeled and cubed)
- 1 cup Carrots(peeled and cubed)
- 3-4 cloves of Garlic(peeled and cut)
- 1 big Red Onion
- 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
- Olive Oil
- Salt and pepper
- Dried herbs(thyme,sage
- 2 litre hot vegetable stock
Preheat the oven to Gas mark 9. Place all the squash, sweet potatoes and carrots in a roasting tray with olive oil and season with salt and pepper and red chilli flakes. Roast in the oven about 40-45 minutes or untill caramlised. When the squash is cooked remove it from the oven and let it cool a little. Meanwhile in a pan heat little oil and fry the onion and garlic and add vegetable stock and dried herbs and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Now scoop the squash flesh out and add to the stock. Cook a little more and blend the soup untill smooth. Reheat the soup on the stove and adjust the seasoning according to your taste. I garnished with toasted pumpkin seeds.. Enjoy with any type of crusty bread. We enjoyed it with homemade Tiger Rolls...you can see in pics...
